Well, the Big Blue Wave washed over the nation.
And a lotta people are not happy about it.
They are saying that it’s the End of an Era, the closing of a window, and they say it all spells out to one thing:
DJT’s day is done.
Now there’s been a lotta finger-pointing and Monday morning quarterbacking amongst various factions going on in the last 48 hours…
But the end of the day, everybody is trying to answer the same question:
What went wrong?
SHOOTING THE MAGICAL ELEPHANT
There are a lotta people that are saying that the Midterm election was lost by DJT and his Magical MAGA Elephant because of the Iran War.
They are wrong.
The Midterm election was lost by DJT and his Magical MAGA Elephant because America is afraid of Third World Insurgencies.
That is because America does not know how to defeat Third World Insurgency.
What do I mean?
THE ULTIMATE MEANS OF DETERRENCE
Iran is a Third World country whose military strategy is built on Insurgency.
They know this is our achilles heel, something we are afraid of more than nuclear weapons.
That’s because we have proven in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan that we are paper tigers who can be easily humiliated and defeated by these means.
And it is the threat of these means that has allowed Iran to hold America hostage all year.
This is the only reason the Iranians have been able to keep the world’s oil supply in a chokehold, skyrocketing the price of fuel, and breaking the backs of everyday Americans at the pumps.
Our airpower and drones and mighty fleets are useless if we can’t clear the Third World Insurgents out the ground.
And that is why Third World Insurgency is the Third Worlder’s ultimate means of deterrence.
But it does not have to be this way.
CHOICES MADE BY US
There is nothing inevitable about our defeats in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan by Third World Insurgencies.
These defeats were choices.
And they were not choices made by our foes.
They were choices made by us!
The truth is, Third World Insurgencies have been beaten by Western Forces before quite easily.
And as a consequence of this, Third World Regimes have been changed quite easily, and then have been replaced quite easily!
But we choose not to learn these lessons from historical precedent, and apply them.
We would rather lose…and make excuses afterward.
And it is to these excuses that we must turn.
WHAT MAD DOG MATTIS KNEW
There are many people who have no conception of these lessons whatsoever.
These people say we should never get into wars in the first place.
They say they were promised this by the President, and they were betrayed.
Now anyone can read my 2016 book, Go Make America Great Again! How An Average Evangelical Became Trump’s Biggest Supporter.
It is available on Amazon, and is a matter of historical record.
I have consistently been opposed to the current President’s promise of “No New Wars”.
I have from the start believed that this is a foolish promise, because at the end of the day, as Mad Dog Mattis famously said:
“The enemy gets a vote.”
And it doesn’t matter whether it’s a “War of Necessity” or a “War of Choice”.
Wars are gonna happen.
So what are we gonna do about them?
FACING OUR FEARS
I have from the start advocated that we learn the lessons from history so we can win the nation’s wars.
This has been the entire point of my 2014 book The Forgotten History of WWI: From the Dark Ages to 1939 and my 2015 book All Men Follow the Strongman: The Forgotten History of the Iraq War, both predating the infamous movement initiated by the current President.
At the end of the day, if we are to remain a Great Power, then we have to have the ability to change any regime we want, any time we want, come hell or high water…
And we can’t let Third World Insurgencies stand in the way of that.
If we want to remain great…or even become great again!…then we must face our fears.
We need to make Third World Insurgents afraid to face us.
Not the other way around.
But just how are we gonna do that, you ask?
WHAT CURTIS LEMAY KNEW
We have to lose the childish illusion that wars are won by our touchy-feely, mushy-gushy form of Bourgeois morality.
People will tell you that the Viet Cong, Al Qaeda, and the Taliban won the wars because:
“They were fighting on their turf for their homeland! And we were the aggressors! And winners never cheat and cheaters never win!”
I’m sorry.
But this is pathetic.
Wars are won by gaining superior intelligence and using that intelligence to kill the most amount of enemy until they are so terrorized they quit.
“You kill enough of them, they stop fighting,” Curtis Lemay said.
And he was right.
THE ONLY THING
Whose turf it is and who is the aggressor has nothing to do with it.
I can come into your home unprovoked, and if I know the lay of the land, and I am willing to kill enough of you, you will quit.
If I have to kill all of you to quit, then so be it.
That is how wars are won.
Now there are a variety of techniques unique to different peoples throughout history to achieve this goal, but the techniques are ultimately ancillary.
Getting intelligence and killing enough of them is not just the main thing in defeating Third World Insurgencies.
It’s the only thing.
And DJT has two years to accept this fact.
Because accepting this fact is the only thing that will Make America Great Again.
Sincerely,
Richard Barrett
