My good friend James Lafond just gave me a call. I haven’t talked to him in a while…we’ve both had a rough couple of years!
But just as in our favorite Pulp Fiction stories that have shaped both of our lives, you can never keep a good man down for too long!
His call reminded me of a few words that Randy Travis sang not so long ago…
“Your Heroes will help you find good in yourself,
“Your Friends won’t forsake you for somebody else,
“They’ll both stand beside you through thick and through thin,
“That’s how it goes, with Heroes and Friends!”
WHAT THE DUKE KNEW ABOUT THE SPIRITUAL AND THE SOMATIC
As James Lafond and I were comparing notes on recent projects and research, we both noted how many people are interested in dissident thinkers and secret histories.
As the world gets wilder and wilder (and more blatant at that!), more and more people are looking for something that’s real.
James Lafond and I (and yes, he’s got one of those names where you’ve just gotta say the whole thing) share a lot of the same readers. Guys of all ages who are interested in History, Mythology, and the Combat Sports.
In short…guys who are seeking the Spiritual and the Somatic path of the Heroic.
And let’s face it: when it comes to the Spiritual and Somatic, so much of this stuff out in the mainstream isn’t made for the path of the Heroic. It’s made to grind such men down into dust.
Follow the mainstream advice, and in the words of John Wayne:
“You may be walking around, but you’re as dead as a beaver hat!”
THE BIG IDEA
That’s exactly who James Lafond and I write for. And the reality is, we’re not the only ones.
You see, over the course of the last few years, I’ve become friends with a number of fellow authors who are looking at the same topics in unique and fresh ways.

Tom Billinge is a stand up guy. Tough, smart, and an all-around good dude.

REAL WORLD MYTHOLOGICAL
As the insanity of Postmodern Feminism has gotten stranger and stranger, and equally disastrous counter-reaction has arisen.
All over Instagram and Youtube, guys have become downright abusive to the womenfolk, positing that to be a real man, you’ve got to hate the women in your life.
This Taliban-type mentality is absolutely nuts, destructive, and the exact opposite of the Indo-European Warrior Tradition for all of history.

Nadia and I became friends after I joined her Court of Love Telegram Chat. She’s a real life 19th Century Romantic…and I thought I was the only one left!
